Prolapsed Hemorrhoid

Jen Carter asked:

Hemorrhoids are those veins inside the **** and rectum which are filled with blood. The problem arises when these veins get swollen. There are two types of hemorrhoids. One is internal hemorrhoids and the other is external hemorrhoids. Prolapsed hemorrhoids are a kind of internal hemorrhoid. Prolapsed hemorrhoid is a condition where the hemorrhoid protrudes out of the ****. It is red in color and is soft tissue. Prolapsed hemorrhoids mostly while using the bowel and are not a painful experience in most of the situation. It goes back inside the **** after the person have used the bowel and in such a situation the person does not even notice it. In some other cases the internal hemorrhoid may be pushed back manually if it does not retract. These are regarded as 1st degree and 2nd degree prolapsed hemorrhoids.

The most serious form of prolapsed hemorrhoid is called thromboses. In this case unbearable pain is experienced y the person and it does not go inside the ****. Even after pushing it up manually, it will fall down again. This kind of prolapsed hemorrhoid can be very scary because in this case there is no other option but to go to the doctor. Infection is also a big scare and therefore hygiene and proper care is very important. This is the 3rd degree prolapsed hemorrhoid.

This protruding hemorrhoid will be itchy and may leak a fluid. Thus the person suffering will face an uncomfortable time. He or she will have to face much problem in the regular life because he or she will find it difficult to sit, to walk, etc. There will be bleeding when the protruded hemorrhoid gets strangulated.

It is very important to get a doctor to examine the affected area because it may not always be prolapsed hemorrhoid but some other kind of disease. The diagnosis of the doctor is vital. Accordingly the doctor will give advice on the treatment. For 1st and 2nd degrees of prolapsed hemorrhoids, the treatments are easier. Home treatments can be done. One can also use the medicines available in the market and apply them at home. In such cases, surgery remains just an option. But this is not the case in the 3rd degree prolapsed hemorrhoid. Here surgery remains the best option.

There are ways to prevent prolapsed hemorrhoid. The causes are the same as the other kinds of hemorrhoids. Taking care of the diet, drinking plenty of water, doing regular exercises, avoiding sitting for continuous period of time, etc are some ways to prevent prolapsed hemorrhoids from occurring.
